At a time when crime procedurals follow a relatively predictable format, ABC’s High Potential joins the lineup with a fresh take on the genre. Sure, there are new murder cases every week. But instead of your usual group of cops and detectives, there is also a (civilian) mom on the case.
In the series, divorced mom Morgan is working as a night cleaner at a local police department when she gets tapped to become a consultant. Since then, she’s been on every crime scene, interviewing witnesses, and chasing suspects. Fans might even say that cases wouldn’t have been solved had it not been for Morgan.
Since premiering, High Potential has been a huge hit. And it didn't really come as a surprise when the show got picked up for a second season. For fans, that certainly means more interesting crime cases and more time with show’s stellar cast, some of whom you might recognize from their previous shows and films.

Kaitlin Olson
High Potential lead star Olson is certainly a familiar face on television, having famously starred as Dee Reynolds in the hit comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Aside from this, she’s also worked on other TV comedies such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Space Force, and Abbott Elementary.
Meanwhile, in High Potential, Olson doesn’t stray far from her comedy roots, playing crime-solving mom Morgan who is sometimes too smart for her own good.

Daniel Sunjata
Sunjata is a veteran Hollywood star who got his start in the Emmy-winning soap opera All My Children. Since then, he has booked roles for both the big screen and silver screen. These include shows like Dick Wolf’s long-running hit Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the dramedy series Rescue Me, the longest-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, USA Network’s Graceland, and films like The Devil Wears Prada and The Dark Knight Rises.
That said, Sunjata’s breakout moment came when he got cast on ABC’s thriller drama Notorious. Meanwhile, in High Potential, he plays Detective Adam Karadec, Morgan’s (initally) unwilling partner.

Judy Reyes
Reyes has been gracing the big screen and silver screen for decades, having made her debut in Wolf’s Law & Order back in the early '90s. Since then, this New York native has gone on to portray a lot memorable characters, including nurse Carla Espinosa in the hit comedy Scrubs, Dina Milagro in Jane the Virgin, and Ramona in One Day at a Time.
In High Potential, Reyes plays Selena Soto, the lieutenant at the Major Crimes division of the LAPD who decides to give Morgan her consulting gig.

Javicia Leslie
Leslie may not have been around as long as her castmates, but this German-born actress has already starred in several notable TV shows in just the last few years. For starters, Leslie famously played Ryan Wilder, a.k.a.. the second Batwoman, in CW’s Batwoman and even reprised her role in The Flash.
And while Leslie doesn’t don any capes or possess superpowers in High Potential, she plays sharp and witty Detective Daphne Forrester, who is impressed by Morgan’s abilities from the beginning.

Deniz Akdeniz
Since making his television debut in the Disney Australia version of the series As the Bell Rings, Akdeniz has gone to do several Hollywood tv projects. These include S.W.A.T., Jane the Virgin, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Code Black, and Magnum P.I. Later on, Akdeniz famously played Max Park in the Kaley Cuoco-led whodunnit dramedy The Flight Attendant.
Meanwhile, in High Potential, the actor plays donut-loving Detective Lev ‘Oz’ Osman, who also easily warms up to Morgan.
