There’s about to be a big episode for Walker on Law & Order, but we’ll need to wait to see it. In fact, we’ll need to wait to see both Law & Order and SVU, as there is some bad news about tonight.
There isn’t a new episode airing tonight, Thursday, Feb. 5. There won’t even be a rerun, as NBC has opted for some Winter Olympic coverage as it gets ready for the Opening Ceremony tomorrow night, Friday, Feb. 6. We knew about this break ahead of time, but it still doesn’t make it any easier.
When will Law & Order and SVU return?
This is going to be a fairly long break. Well, it will feel like it. It’s going to be for two weeks, for the duration of the Winter Olympic Games. NBC will air the Games, and it can’t air two things at once. This is a huge sporting event, and NBC tends to get the Olympic coverage in the last few Games, so it’s not surprising that it’s choosing this over regularly scheduled programming.
In some good news, we’ll get Law & Order and SVU back as soon as the Games are over. The two shows are slated to return on Thursday, Feb. 26 with all new episodes.
What to expect when Law & Order returns
Law & Order season 25 episode 13 will be the first show back on NBC on Thursday, Feb. 26, and it’s a big one for Walker. When a gang is involved in brutal murders, nobody is willing to testify. That means Walker needs to go undercover if he wants to find a way to bring the gang down.
Riley is likely to be nervous for his partner, but Walker has this. It’s a great chance for him to prove himself as a detective, as we’ve not had enough time with him since he first stepped on to the screen.
What to expect on Law & Order: SVU season 27 episode 13
Meanwhile, Benson has a tricky case that involves a cult leader who has kidnapped children. He is brainwashing them, and it means they’re not going to testify against him when it comes to court. They won’t even speak out to get him even to court.
Benson and her team will need to help the children realize that they are being brainwashed. She needs to find a way to help them understand they have been harmed, but that’s not always easy when people aren’t willing to accept they’re in a cult.
Law & Order and SVU will return on Thursday, Feb. 26. For now, you can catch up on Peacock.
