Over the course of the last eight weeks, we’ve gone back into a case that rocked headlines for years. The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox told us the story from Amanda’s point of view, giving a new look at the investigation, the interrogation, and the court battles.
With the way things ended in the previous episode, you may want more. After all, there are still some questions, and I think that’s going to be the way it always will be. However, when it comes to more episodes of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, there isn’t going to be any point waiting around for the 3 a.m. drop on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox has come to an end
The first season of the series has wrapped. It ended with Amanda realizing that it doesn’t matter what other people think of her. There will always be people who believe that she killed Meredith Kercher, or that she was there at the time. The publications did a great job of turning the people against this young woman, and the Italian police did everything they could to break her.
There’s no need for any more to the story when it comes to Amanda. Where there is a need is when it comes to Dr. Mignini. We see him enter a confessional, crying. It’s almost like he feels guilt for everything that he did, but then we know in real life that he doesn’t regret a lot, as he still believes that Amanda was in the house at the time of the murder. So, we could do with another episode to understand this.
That’s not going to happen, though. The story was mostly about Amanda Knox, and that ended with Amanda realizing that the truth matters when it comes to the people closest to her, but not what the world thinks of her.

There won’t likely be a second season of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox
There is more bad news when it comes to the series, especially for those with questions about how things ended with Mignini. There won’t likely be a second season, as The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox was billed as a limited series. After all, once you get to the end of the Italian Supreme Court decision in 2015 and then to Amanda meeting with Mignini in 2022, there’s no need to tell more of the story.
There is a way to develop the franchise, though. We could get The Twisted Tale of and then enter any name of someone who has been wrongfully convicted or of something with a twisted story where the court of public opinion played a huge part of the story. As of right now, there are no plans for the franchise, but never say “never.”
The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is available to stream on Hulu.
