When Only Murders in the Building season 4 ended with the murder of a beloved member of the Arconia, there was no doubt that our podcasting trio would make it their next case. People have to start questioning why they’re still living in this building considering all the murders lately!
Of course, you don’t want to miss a beat of the season. This is a look into why Lester died. What was he hiding, or was he a victim of circumstance? Wrong place, wrong time, maybe? That’s what we all need to find out, and we’re sure to be taken through many red herrings once more as the trio investigate.
On top of that, there are a few personal storylines that need to continue for all three of our leads. And there are questions about whether this will be the last murder for them to investigate.
Only Murders in the Building season 5 release schedule
The first three episodes are now available to stream. This is a Hulu original, so you can watch directly on that app, but if you have the Hulu and Disney+ bundle, you’ll also be able to watch on Disney+.
If you’re outside of the U.S., the series heads to Disney+. This is often the day after the Hulu release, but you’ll want to double-check your own listings. As a fan of the series in Canada, it can be an annoying side of the releases.
Episodes are available from 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Tuesdays. So, you have the choice of staying up, getting up early, or just watching the episodes at a normal time!

Is Only Murders in the Building ending with season 5?
One of the bad things about TV today is that a lot of shows are being canceled early. And they’re ending on major cliffhangers. We know that Only Murders in the Building loves to end with another murder for the trio to investigate, so could we end up with the same fate?
This is going to depend on the interest of the public. If people watch, then there’s a good chance that Hulu will renew the show.
As for the cast, they’re more than happy to keep going with the show. Selena Gomez told USA Today that she wants to keep doing this “for a long time.” However, Steve Martin admits that it’s possible to “just be canceled.”
“We believe we're doing another season; we think so. But you have to live season by season. And even if it was canceled tomorrow, we would have to say, ‘We had a great, great run.’ … We loved what we were doing. It was a great way to spend five, six years.”
Right now, they think they’re going to do a sixth season, but nothing has been confirmed just yet. If people aren’t watching the fifth season, then Hulu could cancel it to spend money on a show that people want.
So, we all need to tune in each day when new episodes drop. We can do that, right?
