Christina Wolfe isn't leaving FBI: International despite The Ark return
If you’re a fan of The Ark as well as FBI: International, you will have seen a familiar face in the recent episode. Sure enough, Christina Wolfe returned to the show. No, this does not mean anything bad for Agent Amanda Tate in FBI: International.
Caution: There are spoilers for The Ark Season 2 up to Episode 4 in this post.
When Wolfe was cast as Amanda Tate in FBI: International Season 3, it was clear something bad would happen to her character on The Ark. After all, Wolfe came into the crime drama as a series regular. You can’t be a series regular on two shows, especially not when one is broadcast and the other is standard cable.
It didn’t take long in The Ark Season 2 premiere to confirm Cat’s death. That was the end of her character, right?
Well, that’s what we thought. She suddenly turned up in The Ark Season 2, Episode 4. As Brice just suddenly disappeared, Cat appeared. But it wasn’t the same Cat.
Amanda Tate is still in FBI: International Season 4
There are no signs that Wolfe is leaving the crime drama. The only casting change has been Jesse Lee Soffer coming into the series, taking the spot open from Luke Kleintank’s exit from the show at the end of Season 3.
In fact, The Ark Season 2, Episode 4 made it clear that Wolfe isn’t returning to that show. Her death hasn’t been undone in any way.
Instead, the Cat in the episode was from an alternate timeline, and it was a timeline that she wanted to get back to. She wanted to see her William Trust again, and she wanted to continue the work that she had been doing. Plus, the Ark-1 crew that we’d come to know wanted Brice back.
At the end of the episode, it all worked out. Cat suddenly returned to her universe, and Brice came back to his. The Cat in the universe we know is still dead, and there are no signs that she will cross back over at any point.
The filming schedules likely just worked out well for Wolfe to reprise her role for this episode. However, she is with FBI: International now.
