There’s a new boss in town in FBI: International Season 4. We get our first look at Jesse Lee Soffer’s character, Agent Wes Mitchell, in the new trailer for the season.

The CBS premieres are just around the corner, and that means time to focus on what’s to come. For the Fly Team, it’s change. Scott Forrester is off with his mom, evading the authorities while he focuses on clearing her name. That leads an opening on the Fly Team.

As much as we’d love Cameron Vo to take over, that’s not happening. She only just moved up as Forrester’s Second-in-Command. It’s going to take time before she’s able to lead the team.

Introducing Agent Wes Mitchell in FBI: International Season 4

Of course, with a new leader coming in, fans need to like him. That means setting up a good introduction storyline, and we get to see some of that in the trailer for the season. Mitchell isn’t coming in to completely shake things up. While he’s seasoned in law enforcement, he’s not seasoned as an FBI agent.

Mitchell is a former LAPD officer. This means he tackles cases a little differently to the FBI agents. It can also mean that he brings some fresh ideas, as long as he’s open to learn the ways of the Fly Team at the same time.

We worried a little about how Vo would take someone new coming in and leading the team. Well, it looks like she’s more than happy to see him step into Forrester’s shoes. Her “hell yeah!” response makes it clear that there isn’t any bad blood between them, and that’s sure to make things easier for us as fans to like the new character.
