When one team leader exits, we usually see an immediate introduction of a new one. That’s the way many likely expected to see FBI: International Season 4 handle the introduction of Jesse Lee Soffer’s Wes Mitchell.
Soffer’s Agent Wes Mitchell will end up joining the Fly Team as the new leader. He takes over Luke Kleintank’s Scott Forrester’s position. At the end of the third season, Forrester went MIA from the team and they found out that he had found his mom and they headed off somewhere hidden from those looking for them. Agent Brian Lange decided that Forrester was doing a good thing and ordered for some footage of them to be scrubbed.
That left the door open for a new team leader. As much as we would love to see Agent Cameron Vo take over, she is on the greener side of things to be in command. It means finding someone else.
Wes Mitchell is dealing with something in L.A. in FBI: International Season 4
Viewers will meet Mitchell while he is still in Los Angeles. He is investigating a “tourism robbery,” which is sure to end up with the Fly Team getting involved. We’re likely to see this robbery investigation head over to Europe, meaning that the Fly Team is needed. As Mitchell works with Vo, Raines, and the others, we’re sure to see how he gels with the team well. This could lead to him being offered the spot as the team leader.
TVLine also reports that Mitchell will be dealing with a girlfriend. Is it possible that they’re having issues in their relationship and Mitchell wants out? Maybe a move to Europe would be good for him.
Very little else is known about Mitchell and how he will be part of the team. It’s going to be fun to see how each character deals with him joining.
FBI: International Season 4 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9/8c on CBS.
