It is finally time. Olivia Benson and her SVU team are back in the action. You will not want to miss a beat of the Law & Order: SVU Season 26 premiere.

This premiere brings us a new detective. Juliana Aidén Martinez has joined the show as Detective Kate Silva. Will we get to meet her in the premiere episode? That is something you’ll need to watch to find out. If we do, there’s sure to be a back story to delve into.

Meanwhile, we’ll also see more of Detective Terry Bruno. Kevin Kane has been upped to series regular for this season.

What to expect in the Law & Order: SVU Season 26 premiere

The premiere episode focuses on a brutal home invasion on a group of law students. Benson will stop at nothing to figure out what happened to them, and there’s a chance that the camera that is found in one room will help her. Who put the camera there and why? This could affect whether there’s any evidence on it or not.

Carisi will have his work cut out for him when it comes to the legal part of the series. He will need to catch the defendant in a lie, and that’s often much easier said than done.

There are going to be a lot of questions when it comes to this case. What is the group of law students who were the target, or just one of them in particular? That could affect the way the case plays out.

Take a look at the synopsis:

"The SVU investigates a brutal home invasion and attack on a group of law students. Benson hopes for a break in the case when a hidden camera is discovered inside the apartment. Carisi’s best chance at conviction is catching the defendant in a lie."
