Sorry dystopian fans, Snowpiercer isn't on tonight, Sunday, Sept. 29 (and more bad news)
It’s terrible news for Snowpiercer fans. There isn’t a new episode on tonight, Sunday, Sept. 29.
AMC has brought us 10 weeks of new episodes. It’s been the episodes we’ve waited a few years for after TNT opted to not air the series despite it being filmed and ready to go.
At least we got the episodes, and those episodes were worth waiting for. We got to see New Eden succeeding, but outside forces creating a threat to the new town. If it wasn’t for some of the people of Snowpiercer, New Eden would have been under hundreds of feet of snow.
Snowpiercer has officially come to an end
There isn’t a new episode of Snowpiercer tonight, Sunday, Sept. 29. That’s because the previous episode was the Season 4 finale.
There’s even more bad news, though. Not only was it the Season 4 finale, but it was also the series finale. As TNT initially scrapped its original programming, it came with the news that Season 4 would be the last. The season was written to bring us an ending. You can watch the finale and decide if it was a fitting ending for you. We all have our own expectations and hopes for characters.
While AMC gave the final season a home, it didn’t come with hope that the series would be saved from cancellation. This isn’t just about a network renewing it, but about cast options. With the cancellation, the cast contracts would have come to an end. The main cast are popular, especially the likes of Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly. It isn’t so easy to pull them back in.
And so, Snowpiercer is at an end. You can now binge-watch all four seasons together on AMC+ so you can see how the storyline progressed and, arguably, came full circle in the series finale.
