Chicago Med vet among latest to join Reacher Season 3 cast

Reacher is expanding its cast more for Season 3 with a Chicago Med star among those joining. Here’s an update on who’s coming in the new year.

Reacher has already established itself as one of Prime Video’s biggest hits. The show adapts the popular Lee Child novels with Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson), a former Army Police officer who now roams the country, getting into adventures. 

Season 3 will adapt the novel Persuader, with Reacher going undercover to investigate a friend’s death. Obviously, Ritchson is back alongside Maria Sten as Neagley, Reacher’s long-time comrade. The show has also added Sonya Cassidy as an ally and Anthony Michael Hall as the potential villain. 

Now, per Deadline, a quartet of actors has been added to the cast which may help spark Season 3 up even more. Who are they and who do they play?

Who’s joining Reacher Season 3?

Per Deadline, the show has now added Chicago Med’s Brian Tee to the cast. The actor wrapped up his run as Dr. Ethan Choi on the medical drama in 2023 and just did a stint on Prime Video’s Expats. 

According to the description, Tee plays Quinn, a former Army Colonel whom Reacher once investigated for corruption. The pair look ready to reunite, although it’s unsure if Quinn will be a friend or foe. 

Also joining are Johnny Berchtold (Gaslit) and Roberto Montesinos as series regulars, with Daniel David Stewart set to recur. Berchtold is “Richard Beck, a sensitive and artistic college student who lost his mother when he was young and is the only son of businessman Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall). Five years ago, he was the victim of a traumatic kidnapping that left him mutilated.”

Montesinos plays Guillermo Villanueva, “a DEA agent on the verge of retirement. He is the mentor and father figure of Agent Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy). Paunchy with bad knees and a good-natured sense of humor, he loves and cares about Duffy even though they bust each other’s chops all the time.”

Stewart will portray “Steven Elliot, a clean-cut rookie DEA agent. He is a lovable guy who’s fresh-faced, new to the job and still learning.”

This seems to pack in the main cast although likely a few smaller roles are still to be cast. Production is already underway, with hopes the season might premiere in late 2024 or early 2025. It looks like Reacher is getting even bigger in Season 3 for another fine year for fans.
