SWAT may be losing one of their own in a huge two-part episode this week. See a preview for this special double-showing.

SWAT has been on a good roll since its seventh and final season premiered, with the last story having the gang trying to stop a Yakuza war. Meanwhile, Nichelle was briefly framed for accepting a bribe at her job. Luckily, she was able to prove it was actually co-worker Bruce to continue.

The team has been without Street and Luca, with Street explained as being in Long Beach while Luca is taking personal time. It looks like both may be returning for this big two-part episode.

It may be surprising for SWAT to double up, but there are only 13 episodes for this final season. Also, the show will be taking a few weeks off in late March due to CBS' coverage of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. So, doubling up on episodes, especially a two-parter, makes sense.

So what can fans expect at this event? Maybe the departure of a key character!

SWAT 7x04 and 7x05 promo

The promo for "Spare Parts" and "End of the Road" seems to indicate that Street is leaving the team. It had been announced that Alex Russell would be dropped to recurring in Season 7, and perhaps this is a way to write the actor off before the series ends.

It's an emotional sendoff with Hondo noting how far Street has come as a cop and hating to see him go, but it sounds like Street has gotten a great new offer. This should make for a major send-off for one of the original characters, and hopefully, it works out for Street.

SWAT 7x04 and 7x05 synopsis

The synopsis for each episode promises some major drama. It looks less like an actual two-part story and more like two episodes put together. "Spare Parts" has the team hunting an arms dealer, and it is interesting how Hicks is the one being offered a job away from SWAT.

It also appears Tan hasn't been honest with his family about the end of his marriage and has to come clean in difficult circumstances.

"End of the Road" has Street enlisting the squad for help tracking stolen arms while Nichelle's ex-co-worker may want to cause trouble. This may set up Street's exit.

With double the excitement and the chance it means the farewell to a major character, these two SWAT episodes are not to be missed this week.

""Spare Parts" – SWAT hunts down a Chilean arms dealer after he kidnaps a woman and her daughter from a party in L.A. with unexpected intentions. Crossing paths with his brother, Tan is forced to come clean to his family about his divorce from Bonnie, while Hondo discovers that Hicks has received a job offer that could lure him away from SWAT."

""End of the Road" – While training with Long Beach SWAT, Street discovers a biker club has stolen a cache of armor-piercing bullets and brings 20-Squad into the hunt for the gang before they can pull off a daring and deadly heist. As Hondo struggles with changes at work, Nichelle finds herself at odds with her former colleague Bruce."
