Till learned from one of her character flaws in Snowpiercer
Throughout Snowpiercer, Till has followed orders. She isn’t one to seek leadership, but she will get involved in a fight that she believes in. This has led to characters being able to manipulate her or lie to her throughout the series.
The most recent and devastating moment was when Ben realized that he would have to manually uncouple Big Alice and Snowpiercer. Till didn’t think about what it meant, as Ben made it sound like he would just fight the rebellion from Snowpiercer’s side. It was Ruth who realized that it meant Ben would sacrifice himself to save the many.
Till wasn’t going to let that happen again in Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 9. Instead, she showed that she had learned from the best.
Till risks her life to save New Eden in Snowpiercer
As a sniper took out everyone he could in New Eden, Till and Oz argued over who would go up the hill to take Ace out. Oz knew the mountainside better, but Till knew the Animal Squad better. They decided to “rock, paper, scissor” to figure out who would go up, and Oz “won.”
Oz explained how he was going to get up there, but that was Till’s way to understand the path to the top. She then headed off before Oz realized what was happening, doing something that others would have done to her in the past. Till wasn’t going to let anyone get one up on her again, and she felt that with all the sacrifices that had been made in the past, it was time for her to give back to New Eden.
She was successful. She took Ace out, making sure the people of New Eden could get to where they needed to stop Nima. It wasn’t enough, as Nima had a contingency plan, but it was enough to help out. After all, it turned out that Ace was the only one with bullets left. Once the other soldiers came out of the train to New Eden, it didn’t take long for New Eden to fight back.
