Fans of Walker can finally circle their calendars as The CW has announced the long-awaited premiere date for Season 4. Find out when here.
It’s been a very long wait for fans of the CW revival of the 1990s Chuck Norris CBS show. The series had wrapped up Season 3 in May 2023 with a good finale leaving off with Stella believing she’d killed a man.
There were concerns if the show would be canceled as part of the massive backstage upheaval at the CW, which included canceling the spin-off Walker: Independence. But thankfully, Walker Season 4 was ordered. However, like all network shows, the series was affected by the Hollywood writer and actor strikes, which delayed production.
Now, we know when the show is coming back and it turns out to be moving nights too. So when can you finally enjoy Walker?
When will Walker Season 4 premiere on The CW?
As part of their announcement of their delayed 2024 schedule, The CW confirmed that Walker Season 4 will premiere on Wednesday, April 3 at 8/7c. It will serve as the lead-in to the new crime drama Sight Unseen, starring Daniel Gillies which, like The Spencer Sisters, is a Canadian series acquired by The CW. It's a move from the Thursday night slot, which it held after the end of Supernatural, Jared Padalecki's previous series.
Season 4 is expected to follow up on the cliffhanger of Stella trying to find out what happened to the body of the man she shot. Meanwhile, Auggie is planning to enlist in the army, Cassie was considering joining an FBI task force, and Cordell learned a serial killer he’d hunted in the past might have returned.
It’s uncertain if the show picks right up where Season 3 left off or, like other shows, embraces the long delay with a time jump. There’s also the natural worries on whether this could be the final season given the CW’s new programming. But fans can be assured that Walker is finally coming back, albeit later than expected and hope that Season 4 is worth the long wait.
Walker Season 4 premieres on Wednesday April 3 at 8/7c on The CW.
