There is some great news for TV fans. Fall TV is back! NBC has kicked things off this week, and we’re seeing the return of the One Chicago universe tonight. That includes Chicago PD.
The Chicago PD Season 12 premiere will pick up a month after the Season 11 finale. Upton has gone, and Voight is dealing with his brush with death. He was ready to give in the fight to make sure everyone else survived, but in the end, Upton saved him.
Things will change for Intelligence. We’ll see Voight deal with the aftermath of that brush of death, and we’ll get to know the new team member joining Intelligence. It looks like she’ll be there in the very first episode based on one of the images released.
What to expect in the Chicago PD Season 12 premiere
While Voight is dealing with the aftermath of the Season 11 finale, Intelligence will need to get back on with work. The team is overloaded with cases, and one of them is a big one that involves drugs.
It looks like everyone but Burgess is back for this episode. We know that the show will continue to not include everyone in each episode of the season as a way to save money. Burgess not being around for the first episode is one to easily explain: She had to take time off to look after a sick Makayla. We’ll see how the show does deal with that.
"A month after Voight's close brush with death, Intelligence is overwhelmed with cases as they catch a high-stakes drug bust."
