We’ve had questions since earlier this year. Rose was taken at the end of The Irrational season 1, and it’s clear that this was a direct hit. Now we finally get to find out who took her and why. The Irrational season 2 premieres tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 8.
It is a week later than initially expected. That was purely due to the Vice Presidential debate that happened on Tuesday, Oct. 1. This episode is certainly worth the wait, as we dive into Rose’s past a little more and watch Alec attempt to save someone he loves.
How to watch The Irrational season 2 premiere live
The premiere episode will air on NBC tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 8. It is taking over the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. Same time, just a different day compared to the first season.
You can watch NBC live with cable or with the likes of Fubo TV and Sling TV. If you can’t stay up that late or like to watch something else, then you’ll want to turn to Peacock. This is where episodes drop the following day.

What to expect in The Irrational season 2 premiere
The premiere episode picks up off the back of the season 1 finale. Rose has been taken, and it’s up to Alec and the FBI to figure out where she is. They will need to figure out who took her first, and that’s if they even know she’s missing. This was a targeted attack, but was that target linked to her past or as a way to get a ransom?
Kylie is now working with the FBI in the cyber crimes division. This will hopefully help cut a few corners and get Alec and Marissa the information they need faster.
We’ll also hopefully get a catch up with Phoebe, who left for a new job in the season 1 finale. Is the grass greener on the other side?
