Will Trent has our intrepid detective trying to save a missing pregnant woman which could uncover a political scandal! See a preview here!

Will Trent is coming off a wild episode as Will went to interrogate Ulster (Greg Germann) in prison on what he knew about a bombing, only to be caught in a riot. It was a crazy time, but Will managed to survive it while also getting some new leads into his past. 

That looks to be more the backdrop to this week's episode as Will's search for a missing woman may pit him against a councilman with more than a few shady secrets! Check out a preview!

The promo for "You Don't Have to Understand" opens with a pregnant woman being kidnapped in what looks like a connection to the bombing case. The GBI is out to rescue the woman, but Will appears to be centering on a councilman involved. 

Will naturally suspects the councilman might just be the father of the child, and this could be about hushing up a political scandal. He and Faith are racing against the clock to find the woman in time and maybe discover who the dad is. 

Will Trent 2x03 synopsis

The synopsis focuses on the main case and how it ties into a major ribbon-cutting event. Obviously, going against a politician is a dangerous game for a cop, but Will has never worried about such niceties when a life is at stake. Faith is likely to back him up even if she might have to hold Will back from crossing the line. 

It also looks like Angie is finally back on the job despite obvious concerns about if she's really mentally and physically fit to get to work. Ormewood might be distracted by his own family issues to note any problems Angie is having swinging back to a tough murder case. 

So, between the two investigations, Will Trent is firing on all cylinders for another great episode to fire up its sophomore season. 

"With several civilians dead and one woman missing, Will and Faith question a suspicious pastor ahead of the councilman's ribbon-cutting ceremony; Angie joins Ormewood back in the field to investigate a sauna murder."
