Of course, Found is the best thing to watch while we wait for another network to save it. This is the best way to prove to Peacock that it needs to run another season of the series. There are some other great shows out there if you want to get a similar vibe, though.
Annoyingly, some of the shows on this list were also abruptly and unfairly canceled. Then there are others that don’t quite fit the crime drama genre, but they do speak important messages that Found has managed to do over the course of two seasons.
Not sure where to start with other shows? We have you covered to get the Found feeling.

Prodigal Son
One of my all-time favorite shows that was canceled way too soon is Prodigal Son. This offers some similar themes to Found when it comes to trauma and dealing with said trauma. After all, the lead character lives with the memory of learning that his dad was a serial killer and turned him in to the police!
Tom Payne plays Malcolm Bright, a genius profiler who is fired from the FBI and ends up working as a consultant for the NYPD. We learn that he deals with severe night terrors that lead to him launching himself out of windows in his sleep, which is why he handcuffs himself to his bed. That’s just a small look at how his trauma affects him.
Bright’s father, Martin Whitly, played by Martin Sheen, was an accomplished surgeon, but he was also a serial killer. He’s now locked away in a facility for the criminally insane, but he still manages to get into his son’s head, who is trying to prove he is anything but like his father.

Bates Motel
When you want something that actually ran for a good amount of seasons, you’ll want to turn your attention to Bates Motel. This is the prequel series to Psycho, and it gives us a look at how Norman Bates became, well, Norman Bates. It’s a twisty tale of how a boy becomes so obsessed and forms that unbreakable and complicated bond with his mother.
The series starts with Norma Bates buying a motel in White Pine Bay after the death of her husband. She and her teenage son, Norman, are looking for a fresh start in life, and this could be the start of that. As Norman manages to make friends, he learns that some of the locals aren’t as friendly as is always told. Mother and son need to do whatever it takes to survive.
We know how the story comes to an end, right? We’ve all seen Psycho. And while prequel shows can often not quite meet expectations, Bates Motel delivers a powerful look at the creation of a serial killer.

Alaska Daily
ABC brought a powerful series that was unfairly canceled after just one season. Alaska Daily gave us a look at the systemic racism that the Indigenous peoples face around North America. The series itself focuses on problems in Anchorage, Alaska, but this is an issue across Canada and the United States, and we need more shows that cover it.
Hilary Swank plays Eileen Fitzgerald, an accomplished journalist who makes a mistake and his fired from her New York job. She’s offered a second chance, writing an expose that will help to locate the killer of a murdered Indigenous woman in Anchorage, Alaska. She and Roz, played by Grace Dove, end up working together on a case that will blow your mind.
While all this happens, we also see how other members of the smalltown newspaper work and thrive. They cover the stories that matter to them, while celebrating each other’s wins and commemorating the losses. This is an important series that focuses on support and teamwork, as well as the important social topics.

The Hunting Party
I do want to focus on a new series on NBC, which is moving into Found’s timeslot. The Hunting Party is perfect for Found fans, as it focuses on hunting down “missing” people. The difference here is that the task force is hunting down escaped criminals. This is more than just your usual crime drama, though, as all of these criminals have committed some of the most atrocious crimes and they are all believed to be dead.
It turns out that they were all taken to a secret underground facility. That facility tested on these psychopathic killers in an attempt to “fix” them, but what really happened to their minds? Can you really cure a psychopath? It’s an intriguing premise.
There’s also the conspiracy of what was actually going on in The Pit, though. Who ran it, and what happened to lead to all of these prisoners escape? With The Hunting Party moving into Found’s timeslot in fall 2025, it’s worth watching it to help it succeed because we know what that timeslot can be like!

Hannibal
Something that draws you into Found is the relationship between Gabi and Sir. I don’t like calling it a relationship, but that is what it is. They’re bonded, and while Gabi is trying to get Sir out of her head, it’s easier said than done. Well, another show that offers this hellish relationship is Hannibal.
This is a prequel to Silence of the Lambs and brings to life more of the characters from Thomas Harris’s books. We follow FBI agent Will Graham, a man who is able to get into the minds of serial killers. Of course, he pays a price by doing this, as he ends up struggling to separate himself from the psychopaths he faces.
So, it’s not surprising to learn that he seeks out help mentally, and that leads to him getting treatment from Dr. Hannibal Lecter. What he doesn’t realize is that Hannibal is one of the most notorious serial killers the world has ever seen, but he’s been able to get away with it. We get to see this twisted game as the two form a bond that can’t be broken.
