We’ve waited a long time to get some answers, and now they’re almost here. The Hunting Party season 2 premieres tonight, Thursday, Jan. 8, and you will not want to miss a beat.

The Hunting Party season 2 has had a bit of a delayed start. It was supposed to arrive in the fall, but NBC decided to hold it back to the midseason, which arguably was the right thing to do. So, now we get the season, and it’s time for answers. The biggest one is about Odell, who ended The Hunting Party season 1 with his life on the line.

What time is The Hunting Party season 2 premiere on NBC?

The Hunting Party has moved nights from its first season. Rather than airing on Mondays, it will now air on Thursdays. It airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT straight after new episodes of Law & Order and SVU. If you’re anything like me, you’re worried about it, because this timeslot has been the death of many shows, including our beloved Found.

So, you need to watch live if you want to keep this show on the air — and it deserves it! Make sure you tune in via cable or via something like YouTube TV to make sure NBC knows that you want to watch it.

If you really can’t watch live, Peacock is your next best option. However, these ratings aren’t as good as watching live due to advertising revenue. The Hunting Party season 2 premiere will drop on Friday, Jan. 9 at around 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT, and then subsequent episodes will drop Fridays after they air on Thursdays.

What to expect on The Hunting Party season 2 premiere

The first episode of the season will see Eric McCormack and his son Finnigan as the serial killer. And yes, that’s just singular, as Finnigan plays the younger version of Eric’s present-day escaped killer. This is a man who will make you wary about speed dating and dating apps based on the way he finds his victims.

However, it’s the storyline of how the team gets back together that we’re more intrigued by. At the end of The Hunting Party season 1, AG Mallory shut down the unit after they started asking the wrong questions and going about things in a way that Mallory didn’t want. However, the band is back together in some way, and it’s curious how Bex and the others manage to get Mallory to change her mind.

Could Lazarus have something to do with it? We know that Bex met with Lazarus during the first season finale, and while this woman is up to something, she may want Bex under her control rather than running free. There’s also the fact that if anyone wants to capture these serial killers, Bex is the one to do it.

Speaking of Lazarus, though, we learned that Shane’s mom is Lazarus. There are a lot of questions about that, including whether Shane will learn the truth early on.

The Hunting Party season 2 premieres on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 10/9c on NBC.
