Stumptown introduces Dex’s ex-girlfriend in the next episode. Here’s how to watch Stumptown season 1, episode 6 live, on TV and online plus a preview.

Stumptown fans will learn more about Dex Parios’ complicated past in this week’s episode, and it could be killer.

In “Dex, Drugs and Rock and Roll,” Dex (Cobie Smulders) is stunned when rock star Fiona (guest star Ioanna Gika) comes to Portland. Why is she so surprised? Because Fiona also happens to be her ex-girlfriend.

Not only that, but Fiona makes no bones of the fact that she wants to rekindle their relationship, which makes things awkward between Dex and her new love interest Det. Hoffman (Michael Ealy).

So things are just going to be weird all around, and that’s before the show gets into the crime of the week!

Fiona also tells Dex that she’s the target of a stalker, so naturally Dex does some investigating. Is Fiona telling the truth? Is she paranoid? It could be both—and it’s up to our heroine to identify and stop any threats to her life, before it’s too late.

“Dex, Drugs and Rock & Roll” also gives Grey (Jake Johnson) a new love interest of his own, played by Chicago Justice actress Monica Barbaro. That’s good for him, because his relationship with his best friend is still icy at best. But while he may have someone to confide in, don’t be surprised if Dex decides to start snooping around the new arrival as soon as her own personal drama is handled.

This is a Stumptown episode that will provide a lot of backstory, and thus continue to flesh out the characters while audiences are still getting to know them. If you’re still on the fence about this TV crime drama, this may be one to check out, to get a better picture of its heroes than what you’ve seen in the commercials or the first few episodes.

Hopefully, it won’t create a love triangle that will add more complications to Dex’s already difficult personal life, and distract from the quirky action that’s Stumptown‘s strong suit. But it definitely will have plenty to offer, both in her personal and professional lives!
