Nancy Drew is going to spend the week with her family and friends for Thanksgiving. We don’t get a new episode on Nov. 27 but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a promo! The Nancy Drew Season 1, Episode 8 promo is here and we get the chance to break it down.
The episode will air on Dec. 4, and we should get some answers to our burning questions. There’s one major question that seems to be answered in the promo itself.
Before we get into the breakdown, here’s a look at the promo and synopsis for the episode. It’s time to see what we can gather about the episode titled “The Path of Shadows.”
"DETOURS – Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and the Drew Crew discover that the car wreck that left one of their own at death’s door was no accident. While simultaneously hoping to solve the crime, the crew investigates the physical evidence of sabotage to the car and take a supernatural detour into the metaphysical world."

The synopsis tells us that Ace’s life hangs in the balance. The sheriff tells us that Ace isn’t dead but that he’s lost. Is his soul wandering while he lays in a coma? Will the sheriff be able to bring Ace back?
Right now, the focus for the group is going to be getting Ace back. But it’s soon going to move on who tried to have him killed. There are a few suspects lining up right now!

4. The sheriff believes in ghosts
We’re getting to see more of the sheriff in Nancy Drew Season 1, Episode 8. He can help with Ace’s situation, sharing that Ace is lost. He believes in everything to do with spirits, which could help the Drew Crew in the future.
If he believes in ghosts, the Drew Crew will be able to talk to him about all the current situations. It’s going to be useful to have another adult who believes in it all and has the knowledge to work with the spirits.
3. Lisbeth has something to do with the whole situation
We knew we couldn’t trust Lisbeth, right? As much as I want to see Bess happy with someone, there was always something iffy about Lisbeth. She was always there.
Now it looks like she’s working with the Hudsons or whoever killed Tiffany. The Drew Crew is in trouble. But could this be a red herring? Could Lisbeth offer the answers that the Drew Crew needs to solve at least one of the murders?
2. There’s a hooded killer?
Things are getting a little Riverdale or Pretty Little Liars right now. There’s a hooded figure walking around, and this figure seems human. Is this the killer? Is it another mystery to figure out?
Hopefully, this doesn’t get dragged on too much. So far, the series has been good at leaving clues and quickly answering questions. Of course, other questions have opened up from the answers, but this has helped to keep things flowing. I want to see it happen here, too.
1. George may be taken
There’s a clip at the very end of the promo where it looks like George is being dragged into a dark corner. Is she being dragged by a spirit or by an actual person? We have no idea what to expect in Nancy Drew right now.
It’s possible that she and the Drew Crew are getting too close to uncovering one of the murderers they’re looking for. That means they’re all at risk of being hurt or killed.
