The promo makes it all about Martin Whitly fighting for his life. After Malcolm was forced to stab him as a way to save an innocent woman, he and Jessica will face a lot of questions. Martin seems to have made it out of surgery but he’s not completely out of the woods. If he dies, someone will be on the hook for his murder. Right now, Jessica is claiming to have stabbed him, but Gil knows that’s not going to be the case.

Don’t think that Martin is completely out of the episode, though. Michael Sheen will get to shine through hallucinations while he’s in his coma. We may just get to find out exactly what happened in the past, including how Martin realized he couldn’t kill his son. Also, will we finally find out more about the Girl in the Box?
This isn’t the only case the NYPD will need to deal with. A body turns up embalmed, which means someone with the right skills and tools will have needed to kill this person. What better way to find out who than by attending a funeral director convention.
Conventions for funeral directors? Really? That’s certainly going to be interesting to experience, and I’d love to know which members of the team are going undercover for this one. Dani and Malcolm?
