Dirty John and more TV crime dramas to watch this week

There’s plenty to tune into when it comes to TV crime dramas this week. Starting with a true crime docuseries continuing on ID on Monday and ending with two great options on Friday, there is something for everyone to watch.

We’re trying to offer you something from the start to the end of the week, June 8 to 12. However, there are many more options. Don’t forget that there are plenty of reruns of NCIS, Criminal Minds, Chicago PD, and much more running throughout various channels.

Liar Season 2 continues on Sundance Now, while BritBox has Agatha Christie’s Why Didn’t They Ask Evans drop this week. And you may even find an element of crime thriller in Sticks and Stones. But here are the top five picks from the TV crime dramas airing June 8 to 12.

Betrayed

We start the week with a true crime series. Betrayed continues, and Season 4, Episode 7 airs tonight. This is an anthology series, so you don’t need to know what’s happened in previous episodes to watch this one.

This week’s case is about missing church secretary Dorothy “Dot” Finelli. When she turns up dead, the police will need to figure out if it’s a jealous internet lover or if it’s someone from her own family.

The episode airs tonight at 9/8c on ID.

Dirty John

More from TV Crime Dramas

We continue the story of Betty Broderick and see the next stage of the divorce proceedings. Not wanting to divorce, she’s taken steps in an attempt to salvage what is left. During this episode, she’s going to take some drastic steps.

Throughout the divorce proceedings, Betty pushed everyone away with her anger. This is just the start of the turmoil for her.

Dirty John will now air in its usual time of 10/9c on USA Network.

Bulletproof Season 2

Wednesday nights on The CW recently have been getting us ready for the release of Bulletproof Season 2. We’ve had the chance to catch the first season again, and now it’s time to catch the premiere of the second season.

Bishop and Pike head under cover, where they end up at the heart of an international crime family. Meanwhile, Deputy Director Richard Cockridge is keeping a close eye on the Unit.

Bulletproof airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.

The Woods

If you loved The Stranger, you’ll love this new Netflix Original. The Woods is based on the Harlan Coben novel of the same name. When a homicide victim shows up, the police think they have a new case. However, evidence found on the body connects back to the disappearance of a girl 25 years earlier.

Could this be the evidence needed to find the missing girl? Will one prosecutor finally get answers he’s been searching decades for? Find out on Friday on Netflix.

The Search

We started with a true crime series so it only feels fitting that we end with a true crime series. This one is on Netflix on Friday and is officially classed as a limited series. Of course, being a limited series doesn’t mean that things won’t change, but it will probably be in the form of a separate limited series for another case.

The Search is also called Historia de un Crimen. It’s a Spanish series based on the true story of a Mexico City kidnapping. A girl goes missing from a suburb. The goals of those in the search muddy the attempts to find the young girl before it’s too late.
