Criminal Season 2 is heading to Netflix later this month. We know very little about the procedural series, but that’s starting to change. We now have an update on the cast members in the second season.
The first season starred David Tennant, Haley Atwell, and many more well-known names, as Deadline reminds us. However, many were only there for one season. There are some returning faces, though.
There’s an entirely new cast and new stories for this upcoming second season. And we can’t wait!
Criminal Season 2 release date
The second season is set to drop on Sept. 16, 2020. All episodes will be available at once.
We got the date when Netflix released the full list of arrivals. This month has certainly been good for TV crime dramas, with Young Wallander recently dropping and Enola Holmes coming up soon.

The second season of the UK version of the show (there are other versions for other countries) will star Kit Harington in his first TV role since Game of Thrones ended. He’s playing one of the four suspects.
The others are all familiar faces. Sharon Horgan, Kunal Nayyar, and Sophie Okonedo will also star as suspects.
When it comes to the police, there are returning actors from the first season. Nichols Pinnock, Katherine Kelly, Lee Ingleby, and Shubham Saraf are all among the returning cast members.
Criminal Season 2 trailer
Netflix has released the first official trailer for the season. We get a look at the four suspects and just a hint of the interrogation they’ll experience. Like the first season, everything takes place inside the interview rooms. It’s a place where tensions quickly rise and emotions are heightened.
The look of the suspects isn’t enough for us to figure out if they’re guilty or innocent of their crimes. However, it does get us excited about the new arrival.
Criminal Season 2 synopsis
Like the first season, the series will focus on the police questioning four suspects. They are all suspects in four separate cases, so we get something new and intriguing to break down.
We don’t have a clue what those cases are. That’s part of the intrigue of the show.
