All 13 episodes of Evil Season 1 will be on Netflix next month

For those who missed Evil Season 1 when it aired on CBS, there’s some great news. The show is heading to Netflix in October 2020.

The show was part of the list of Netflix arrivals released earlier this week. All 13 episodes of Evil Season 1 will be available from Thursday, Oct. 1. There isn’t long to wait.

More from TV Crime Dramas

This isn’t an exclusive license. You can already watch all 13 episodes on CBS All Access, and the episodes will remain there. However, according to Deadline, the focus is on boosting the viewing figures and will only be on the streamer for a year.

It’s not the first time Netflix has been used as a tool to boost the viewing numbers. Riverdale and All American gained renewals because of their successes on the streaming service. Netflix remains the largest and most popular streaming service, despite other companies bringing out their own.

Evil Season 2 doesn’t has a premiere date just yet

The supernatural TV crime drama has an interesting premise. It involves an investigator and a priest working together to determine whether incidents are religious events or just some sort of natural event. It involves a lot of criminal cases, with many claiming murders are happening while they’re possessed.

Despite lower ratings, CBS opted to renew the genre series. There may have been the plan to get it on Netflix ahead of the second season premiere but the details needed to be ironed out.

Evil Season 2 doesn’t yet have a premiere date. It’s slated to return in the fall on Thursday nights. ABC and NBC are the only two networks to reveal fall dates for scripted shows, with most announcing November premiere dates. We can expect the same for Evil Season 2.

That will give plenty of time for viewers to find Evil Season 1 and binge-watch it. Then everyone can tune in with the second season live, keeping this amazingly crafted show on the airways.
