Something that will make a lot of viewers happy is that we’ll get a little more about Alison. This isn’t just about how quirky she can be, but about the upbringing she had.
Alison’s mom died when she was young. It’s not just time to find about how, but also why that death led to her wanting to work in the coroner’s office. What is it about the position she now holds that gives her some hope? And what can Jenny do to help with that?
There’s not often time to focus on supporting characters, so I’m glad Coroner has the chance with this episode to focus more on Alison and a little on River.
