McKenna’s secrets are out on LA’s Finest Season 1, Episode 7
Secrets are out, and not just Syd’s dad’s secrets. LA’s Finest Season 1, Episode 7 saw McKenna face her past and others find out about it.
During the episode, Derek found out about Dante. Of course, McKenna lied about Dante being a CI, but her husband didn’t believe her. He had a reason to doubt. After all, we knew Dante’s real connection to Nancy.

Now he has figured out the full truth. Or at least some of it. He knows that Dante wasn’t her CI and is somehow connected to her past. Now it’s time for her to explain how.
Derek isn’t the only person to find out the truth, either. The Bens have learned there’s a connection, and naturally, they feel betrayed. They knew she and Syd were hiding something, and they’re both hurt that the women didn’t think they could trust them. The Bens have trusted Nancy and Syd, and now they couldn’t return the favor.

McKenna will need to do a lot of apologizing
There’s no doubt that it’s a hard road ahead for McKenna. Her past and her secrets are catching up to her, and everyone is turning against her.
Well, maybe that’s a bit too strong. Not everyone is turning against her. She still has Syd on her side, and once she drops all the “truth bombs,” I’m sure the Bens will be on her side. They’ll understand why she didn’t say anything at first, but know she’s doing the right thing now.
However, there’s the problem of Derek. As the District Attorney, he could potentially cause a problem for her. As her husband, there’s an even bigger conflict of interest.
This isn’t just going to cause a problem for the Knox issue. It’s also going to cause a problem for Izzy, who is struggling with grief at the moment. It’s going to be a problem for McKenna’s work overall, especially as both she and Derek work within different areas of the law.
Apologizing isn’t going to be enough to fix this. Arguably, McKenna put everyone in danger with her connection to Dante. Even though she’s now done the right thing, there was always a bigger risk to Izzy than there would have been without a personal connection.
