The team looks into the death of a cop on NCIS: New Orleans Season 7, Episode 3

We knew NCIS: New Orleans would cover the pandemic. Now we have a storyline about police brutality. Here’s what to expect on NCIS: New Orleans Season 7, Episode 3, and how to watch it live.

It’s a topical subject is police brutality right now. While some shows like SWAT are focusing on the Black Lives Matter protests, NCIS: New Orleans looks like it’s focusing more on police brutality and excessive force. Both are important topics, and there’s room for everything in the world of TV.

One thing to point out is that we’re not out of the pandemic on the show just yet. While NCIS: Los Angeles is set post-pandemic and NCIS is set pre-pandemic for nowNCIS: New Orleans is sticking in the thick of it all where mask-wearing is just a general part of day-to-day life to keep everyone safe.

The death of an NOPD officer pulls the team in on the case

Usually, the show only focuses on military personnel. That’s where the team has jurisdiction. So what is going to pull the team into the death of an NOPD officer?

It could be that this needs someone impartial on the case. The NOPD officer has been killed by dirty cops and was supposed to be a witness in an excessive force case. The police can’t risk one of their own looking into this when it could be one of the dirty cops who killed the cop. It makes sense to pull in an outside force.

This episode may bring up a few comments from Carter. He is one of those willing to speak out against systemic racism, as we saw in NCIS: New Orleans Season 6. I expect him to say something in this episode because it is something important to him.

While all this goes on, there is a side story to offer some comedic relief. Tammy is in a new relationship and she needs to face the reality of that.
