If the Game Master is turning himself in, he has a much bigger plan up his sleeve. We know it from the promo and synopsis for High Potential season 2, episode 2.

There is no way that David Giuntoli’s character would walk into the precinct without a bigger plan. He knows that he will be able to walk straight back out again, and him turning up now is just his way to taunt the whole of the LAPD.

He gets to show off his smarts. At the same time, he shows just how much Morgan can be put on the back foot when there’s someone like her up against her. HPI can be used for good, but it can also be used for evil.

Morgan is sure the Game Master is behind the string of crimes in High Potential

A lot of women have gone missing, and Morgan is sure that the Game Master is the one behind it all. He certainly shows no empathy in the promo for High Potential season 2, episode 2. The “they look so sad” line is devoid of emotion, as he continues to taunt Karadec. They all know that they have nothing to charge him with at this point.

Yet, he has a bigger game. There’s a bomb threat, which Morgan is sure has come from the Game Master. How can he manipulate so much when he’s in the precinct, though? It hints that this is something he’s been planning for some time.

Take a look at the promo for High Potential season 2, episode 2:

Now the question is why he’s doing all of this? Why would he want to taunt the LAPD (and specifically Morgan) so much? This hints that there is a personal connection between the two that Morgan doesn’t know about.

There are a lot of theories floating around that the Game Master is Morgan’s brother, but she’s never shared anything about having siblings, has she? Is it possible that her dad, who also had HPI, had another family and that the Game Master is jealous and uses his HPI for evil?

The synopsis tells us the search for Roman continues

At the end of the High Potential season 2 premiere, it looked like Oz and Daphne had found Roman. They went to his last known apartment to find Mehki Phifer’s mystery character there. However, the synopsis hints that this isn’t Roman.

Instead, it looks like the search for Roman continues, as well as looking for reasons for him to leave for 15 years. Will Phifer’s character help to figure out the mystery behind the man?

At the same time, we learn that Elliot will get some more screen time. He has a talent show coming up at school, and he has a surprise act. This sounds like a cute way to break up some of the intensity of the Game Master and Roman mysteries.

Take a look at the synopsis:

As the Major Crimes team desperately seek answers amidst a string of unresolved crimes, Morgan suspects the Game Maker is responsible. Meanwhile, Daphne and Oz set out to find Roman, and Elliot prepares a surprise act for his school’s talent show.

High Potential airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on ABC.
