FBI: Most Wanted fans were certainly disappointed when news broke that the series was being canceled. I was critical, at first, of anyone trying to replace former team leader Jess LaCroix. However, I quickly warmed up to Remy Scott, but, some of his team members, like Barnes, took a bit to make that leap.
While I adore FBI, I was attracted to this franchise because of the way it fleshed out the characters and their personal lives. Over the seven seasons that the show was on the air, we saw incredible growth from the characters. Divorce, death, loneliness, and romantic problems all plagued our favorite team members.
Viewers were slowly brought into the world of each Fugitive Task Force member. We saw them at their best, and sometimes at their worst. We celebrated at Ray's wedding, and cried when Jess was murdered. Fans watched Hana slowly recover after her kidnapping, and Barnes weather parenting her children during her divorce.

FBI: Most Wanted gifted fans a peek into each character's future
During the FBI: Most Wanted series finale, all the loose ends were tied up for our characters. Hana will no longer be looking for roommates, as Ethan will be moving in. He completed his time in rehab and is sober. Meanwhile, Nina's father finally recognized her accomplishments. I would love to see Nina guest star on FBI with her baby daddy and give us updates on the team.
And Ray and his wife, Cora, are expecting a baby. The couple is hoping for a boy to join his big brother, Ray’s stepson. In every way, Ray stepped into the role of a dad for Cora’s son, Caleb.
Finally, Remy shared that he was retiring. He decided that he preferred to spend his time with his girlfriend, Abby. The couple opened a restaurant together, so he knew that his life was heading in a new direction. Plus, instead of taking that desk job in D.C., Remy announced Barnes as the new team leader for the Fugitive Task Force.
TV Insider reported that if the show had been renewed, the finale would have kept viewers guessing. Season 7 would have wrapped up with a cliffhanger, and Remy still the leader of the Fugitive Task Force. I guess his restaurant with Abby would have to be a side hustle. Thankfully, showrunner David Hudgens and the producers and writers presented viewers with an ending that left nothing unresolved. And the scene with the toast was the bow on the present.
"The scene “was a way for the audience to say goodbye to each of the characters, with Remy as their voice. Dylan nailed it as usual.”"David Hudgens
All in all, FBI: Most Wanted left on a high note. Remy is settling into his retirement, while the rest of the team continues to find the bad guys. What could be better?
