While Found has been canceled by NBC after two seasons, we’re holding out hope that another network will pick it up. With that in mind, we need to look at where Found season 2 left our favorite characters, and what that could mean for their stories in Found season 3.
We’re starting with Gabi Mosely. After all, without her, there wouldn’t be a team hunting down missing people and reuniting them with their families. The end of the second season saw her make a decision that would impact her, the entire team, and many others, but what does this mean moving forward?
What happened to Gabi in the Found season 2 finale?
The end of Found season 2, saw Gabi do the one thing that she’d tried to do at the start of the season: turn herself in for holding Sir hostage in her basement. This time, though, she did it publicly during a press conference. During the beginning of the season, she turned herself into the cops, and then Sir shared that Gabi was lying and he was never held hostage.
Well, now she’s going up against the court of public opinion. There is little that the police can do except but arrest her since the world has learned the truth.
She did this without warning anyone, though. Lacey, Zeke, Dhan, and Margaret just watched in shock as the press conference happened. Trent couldn’t watch as he was dealing with an incident involving Sir in his cell.
What to expect for Gabi in Found season 3
Where does this leave our formidable leader in the third season? Well, if Found season 3 happens, we’re sure to see her face the legal consequences of her actions. As much as we understand her reasonings for holding Sir captive, she still did something illegal, and that means the legal and justice systems need to play out.
Sir isn’t around to say that she didn’t do what she’s saying she did this time, which means that the police will need to investigate. Of course, the basement is now cleared of all evidence. That’s the thing that Dhan did for her, so it’s not going to be easy for the cops to do anything when all they have is Gabi’s word.
The big problem for Gabi and the M&A team as a whole is the court of public opinion. People have followed Gabi’s story for years now, and they follow her as someone who can help find the missing. How will this change their perception of her, and what sort of knock-on effect will it have on M&A? Will more people remain missing because people don’t trust Gabi and her team moving forward, or will she end up with more support due to the belief that maybe Gabi served Sir justice?
