Things are going to be a little darker for Morgan in High Potential season 2. That’s not surprising with the way season 1 ended things.
At the end of High Potential season 1, Morgan got a card clearly from the man who bumped into her at the grocery store. He made it clear that he has a mind like Morgan’s, and the second season is sure to be one for Morgan and the LAPD to get to the bottom of who he is.
Morgan needs to figure out who is playing games in High Potential season 2
Throughout the first season finale, Morgan and the LAPD had to solve a series of riddles if they wanted to save people. One of those was one of their own, Oz, who ended up at the bottom of a swimming pool, and they only just got to him in time. Morgan likely won’t carry too much guilt for it taking so long to solve the clue, but she knows that the game player is still out there.
On top of that, the game player knows who she is. He bumped into her at the grocery store, and now she needs to figure out who he is and what he wants. Could he be a threat to her whole family? After all, it wouldn’t be too hard to figure out where Morgan lives, leading to her likely wanting to find a way to protect her children.
Morgan is still solving the mystery of Roman in High Potential
It’s not like this is the only mystery for Morgan to solve. She also needs to work out what happened to Roman years earlier, and she was getting a few steps closer by the end of the first season. What she knows is that he intended to come home, and it also sounds like he could still be alive. But, if he’s still alive, then why hasn’t he returned to her yet?
All of this has given Ava some hope, as she knows that her dad didn’t just run out on her. Something happened to him, and she wants to find out what that is. Morgan needs to work with her daughter, otherwise Ava could end up running off to get her own answers. This is already a dangerous situation considering Morgan is having to meet the guy with information under the cover of darkness.
This is set to be a dark season for Morgan, and it could be a lonely one as well. She’ll need to do whatever it takes to keep her family safe in High Potential season 2. That could mean getting Ludo to take all of the kids for a while to keep them safe.
High Potential season 2 will air on Tuesdays at 10/9c on ABC in fall 2025.
