Kristen Kreuk returns to TV in Murder in a Small Town (watch the premiere tonight)
We love getting more of Kristen Kreuk on our screens, so naturally Murder in a Small Town is a must-watch. It premieres tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 24, on Fox.
The series is based on L.R. Wright’s book series that follows Karl Alberg. In the series, Karl is played by Rossif Sutherland, and we meet him as he comes to a quiet coastal town in the search for a little bit of peace. Only, that’s not what he’ll get.
The trailer gives us a look at the budding romance between Karl and Kreuk’s Cassandra Lee. I love her first line in the trailer as she points out that Karl doesn’t say what he does in his dating profile. That’s clearly for a reason as he is the Chief of Police.
How to watch Murder in a Small Town on Fox
The new series will premiere tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 24. The first two episodes will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the network over the next two weeks. After that, the show is moving to the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
You can watch FOX on cable, or you can opt for the likes of Sling TV and Fubo TV if you don’t want a cable subscription. Don’t get to watch it live? That’s okay; there’s a lot on Tuesday nights. You can watch it on Hulu the following day.

What to expect in the Murder in a Small Town series premiere
The premiere is going to introduce us to the characters and the main storyline. It looks like this is going to be a season-long storyline as Karl works out the murder.
Babe’s James Cromwell is somehow linked to the murder. It looks like he may have been a friend of the victim. Something is haunting him, and he doesn’t want to talk to Karl about it.
Then there is the introduction of the romance. Cassandra and Karl meet via online dating, and we get to see their first date. It’s a cute moment, and sets the scene for their relationship moving forward.
