When will SWAT Season 3 return from its winter break in 2020?

SWAT Season 3 will go on its winter break soon. With so many shows moving days or being held back, you may be worried about when SWAT will return. Here are the details you need.

Worried about SWAT Season 3 being benched after it goes on its winter break? I’m not surprised. CBS is making a change to its lineup in January 2020, with some shows on the move and others being benched. Will Hondo and his team be among those on the move?

Don’t worry too much! SWAT Season 3 isn’t just keeping its current timeslot, but it’s also returning in January. While some shows will return at the very start of the month, you will need to wait a little longer for Hondo and the team to get ready.

Criminal Minds will premiere on Jan. 8 with a two-hour episode. With the first slot of the night taken over by unscripted shows, it shouldn’t be that surprising to hear that Criminal Minds will take over the 10 p.m. slot for its second episode.

SEAL Team is the show being benched on Wednesdays, though. Criminal Minds gets its 9 p.m. timeslot back. SWAT Season 3 will return at 10 p.m. ET on Jan. 15, 2020. It’s only an extra week.

There will be another week that the show takes off later in the year. The end of February sees a two-hour series finale for the BAU series. That means no SWAT that week, but it should return the following week.

This will depend on other scheduling, though. CBS hasn’t given us the plan that far in advance. Last year, SEAL Team moved into the last timeslot of Wednesday nights from March. Could the same thing happen this season? We’ll have to wait to see what CBS’ plans are from then.
