Nancy Drew: We’re not trusting Lisbeth’s story, right?
Lisbeth gave us a story as to why she’s in town and working for the Hudsons in Nancy Drew Episode 8. Do we really believe that?
Nancy Drew has taken us through a few twists and turns for the town murder mystery. In Episode 8, the focus turned to Lisbeth, who certainly has a few secrets. And she’s more than happy to tell a story to get the gang to trust her.
Hands up if you trust Lisbeth’s story. I’d be surprised if I saw any of them. There is a lot that doesn’t seem to add up.
An undercover cop wouldn’t blurt out that story!

Let’s be honest. There’s no way that an undercover cop would just blow their cover like that. Especially for the sake of a relationship. It wouldn’t have been safe.
The Hudsons will want to keep the Drew Crew close, find out what they’ve been up to. But the Drew Crew is also smart (some of the time) and would have figured out there’s something fishy about Lisbeth. Of course she was going to have a story, and turning in a dirty cop isn’t that difficult.
What are the chances there are other cops working for the Hudsons? Of course there is! So, Lisbeth gave them a little information to keep them happy for now, but she’s not really the undercover cop and it won’t be hard to figure out the truth eventually.

Meeting Bess and Ace was a little too convenient
Do you remember how Lisbeth met Bess and Ace? The two pretended to be broken down and Lisbeth was the one that came up to them. She was able to help fix the car, but it was all a little too convenient, right?
Lisbeth was on her way to pick up Tiffany Hudson’s body. Naturally, that suggests that she was working for the Hudsons. And she just happily gave Bess her number after the first meeting? Something was immediately fishy.
She wouldn’t have initiated the relationship with Bess
If she was an undercover cop, there’s absolutely no way that she would have initiated the relationship with Bess. Not that quickly, anyway! She wouldn’t have wanted to gain the attachment to a group that had nothing to do with the Hudsons at the time.
Maybe eventually Lisbeth would have seen the benefits of befriending the Drew Crew. However, this quick focus on the relationship was too much with the undercover story. I don’t buy it.
She offered a warning to Nancy
The very end of Nancy Drew Episode 8 saw Lisbeth “break up” with Bess. It was supposed to be a sign that she was still working for the Hudsons and a sign that she’s trying to keep her cover. However, there was a veiled warning within it.
Lisbeth told Nancy that Nancy doesn’t know who she’s dealing with. Wasn’t that a hint that Lisbeth isn’t telling the full story? That she’s not an undercover cop and is playing the Drew Crew?
I’m sure it won’t take too long to find the truth. However, I don’t buy the undercover cop story.
