There are a few things you don’t necessarily expect to experience at work, even as a coroner. A radioactive body is probably one of them, but it’s something Jenny deals with on Coroner Season 1, Episode 7.
The promo makes it clear that this is one intense episode. A lot of it is going to be in one location—the building Jenny works. She’s going to be isolated from the rest of the team when it’s discovered that the body on their table is radioactive. That means they could be infected, and the whole building needs to go on lockdown.

There is a sneak peek from when the episode aired on CBC in Canada. A man runs out of a house calling for help. Before he dies, he makes a video saying “it’s too late.” What is too late? Well, it looks like he is the radioactive body on the table, which means he was possibly up to something that led to some sort of radioactive leak.
What was going on in that house? Are his neighbors going to be infected? What will it mean for our coroners, two of whom are dispensible since they’re not the lead character? Will we say goodbye to one of them in tonight’s episode?

A blast from the past for McAvoy
While all that happens, there’s a problem for McAvoy to solve. There’s a criminal just released from jail, and now McAvoy needs to keep an eye on him.
This is possibly linked to the storyline from a couple of episodes ago. Jenny opening up case files is a good thing in the grand scheme of things, but the way she did it may have been a mistake. There are so many lawyers looking to get their clients free, and some of them are extremely dangerous people. One could be a serial killer who has no remorse for his actions against homeless people.
McAvoy will want to put the serial killer back behind bars. It’s not going to be easy, though.
